Introducing the AI Agent Market Map

159 AI agent players across the US, Europe, China, Korea and Japan in one table — filter by country, type, scale and pricing model, with a verification mark on every figure.

ainewground's first market map covers AI agents. It brings together 159 companies that build or sell agents in the US, Europe, China, Korea and Japan, in a single table. Research is as of October 13, 2026.

What's in it

  • By country: US 44 · China 34 · Europe 32 · Korea 26 · Japan 23.
  • Eight types: general-purpose and consumer; coding and app builders; browser and phone use; enterprise work platforms; customer service and voice; vertical (legal, medical and more); frameworks, infrastructure and payments; and foundation model companies. A company that spans several types carries every applicable number.
  • For each company: a headline figure (users or ARR/revenue), pricing as listed, funding and acquisitions, recent developments and key people.
  • Beyond the table: market-size estimates, ten ways the money comes in, the companies that reached $100M ARR fastest, twelve industry developments from 2025–2026, and five representative players per region.

What stood out while building it

  • "Market size" varies about 27x depending on the definition. Counting standalone agent products only gives $7.6B for 2025; counting spending embedded in enterprise software gives $201.9B for 2026 (Gartner). When you see a market-size figure in the news, check which definition it uses.
  • Pricing is moving from people to actions and outcomes. Salesforce Agentforce charges $0.10 per action (formerly $2 per conversation); Fin (formerly Intercom) charges $0.99 per resolution. Still, only 3 of the 159 use outcome-based pricing — most rely on flat subscriptions (63) and usage or credits (53).
  • 61 of the 159 started in 2023 or later. Among standalone agent companies, Cursor has the largest ARR ($3B–$4B, reported), and the map includes reports that SpaceX agreed to buy it for $60B (June 2026).
  • Korea and Japan look different. In the US, Europe and China, startups lead among newcomers; in Korea and Japan, conglomerate affiliates and IT services firms dominate. The most-used agents in both countries are US services such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, so their Korean and Japanese figures are listed separately as "local usage".

How to read the numbers

  • Every figure carries a mark: ✔ = confirmed in a primary source or filing, △ = press report or estimate, ✘ = not the case. For 125 of the 159 companies, the headline figure is △. Definitions and dates differ by company, so the figures can't be compared directly.
  • That's why headline figures are grouped into scale tiers: S (100M+ users or $10B+ ARR) · A (10M+ / $1B+) · B (1M+ / $100M+) · C (100K+ / $10M+) · D (below that) · ? (unconfirmed).
  • 89 companies are "? Unconfirmed" — conglomerate affiliates and deployment vendors often don't report agent revenue separately.
  • Your filter and sort choices stay in your own browser.

What's next

The map isn't a one-off; it keeps being updated. Every change is logged with its date under "Changes" at the top of the map. It's currently available in Korean and English. If you spot a wrong figure or a missing company, use "Report an error" on the map or write to hello@ainewground.com.
